We have a winner, and next month’s giveaway

Congratulations to Crunchy Green Mom who is this month’s Free Fabric Giveaway winner! I hope that with 6 kids and a full time job she can find the time to make something wonderful with her new fabric.

The next giveaway will be Tuesday, April 8. All you have to do is post a reply on this blog (it doesn’t have to be on this post, they are all recorded by date and I draw from that list). If you would like to offer a fabric or other fiber for the giveaway, you will get free publicity and the opportunity to make someone very happy. Just let me know.

Here’s what is up for grabs in April: a panel of yukata cotton in indigo with a pattern of pinwheels and kanji and a festive air. The panel is 14.5″ x 40″ (the photo is just a closeup) and more is available in my Etsy store, www.kimonomomo.etsy.com. I can’t read what it says as unfortunately my kanji skills are still too rudimentary, but I’m still learning. I can tell you that the words will appear both backwards and forwards no matter which side of the fabric you use, as it is designed to be reversible, as most yukata fabrics are. Isn’t that amazing?

You know, I was just thinking about this fabric as I looked over your Etsy store today, and I’ve decided that you NEED to stop putting more fabrics that I want up for buying. Because I want to buy them, but I’m trying to SAVE money, and it’s just not working for me! I mean, really, my favorites list? Pretty much kimonomomo fabrics. You have an awesome selection.

As for this fabric, pretty sweet! It makes me think of Japanese festivals. I can see this as a summer design for… something. Maybe a noren. Either way, really cool.

    Congrats to the lucky winner!

  3. LOL Kristen! I’ll be adding even more tomorrow. I’ve been restocking and cleaning up my studio today and finding some fabrics that had been buried for a while. There’s plenty to put in the Etsy store, and more vintage for ebay as well.

Well then, I might as well hand over my credit card right now! Only partially kidding. Well, the fabric is fun to look at, anyway. 🙂

This is so funky and modern looking! I love all the fabric on your shop. I can imagine the dream that this piece would be a part of.
